50 Ways to Rest and Recharge

Slow down. Rest. Recharge. Easier said than done. I know. I ran in circles for years. How do you find time to rest when you are juggling work, family commitments, personal responsibilities and on top of all that, trying to practice self care?

Start small with a few minutes of calm to rebalance and recenter yourself. Here is a simple list of 50 ways to rest and recharge. Some take 5 minutes, others an hour, so whatever little time you have, there is always 5 minutes to rest.

  1. Close your eyes for a minute. Breathe.
  2. Watch the sunrise
  3. Go for a walk
  4. Make a cup of tea
  5. Laugh
  6. Read
  7. Lay in a hammock and swing….
  8. Mindfulness
  9. Watching TV
