Support the Blossome Bloomers Soapbox Race Team
We are putting our big girl pants on – our bloomers to raise awareness that the whole family needs support when a loved one is suffering with addiction. At Blossome, we support people affected by a loved one’s addiction – partners, family members, children, and friends. These individuals often live in silence, carrying invisible burdens of shame, guilt, stress, and trauma. They are at the frontline, dealing with everything. Though largely unseen, this group faces significant marginalisation.
We are putting on our big girl pants for a few really good reasons:
- To get noticed. We want people to ask, “Who is Blossome?” This is how people will learn about us.
- To be brave. It takes courage to get into a Soapbox Kart and to send yourself down North Hill it it, just like it takes courage to reach out for support and to start to heal.
- To have some fun. We want our audience to know that it’s ok to laugh, to have fun, even if their loved one is suffering. They matter too. It’s ok to live and feel joy.
Your donation can help us get seen and reach our audience so they can step forward and ask for help. We offer trauma-informed programmes, self-care resources, and community connection for those affected by someone else’s addiction. We believe that healing for the whole family is not only possible- it’s essential. If you’re one of the millions affected, you’re not alone, and you deserve support.
