I’m so happy that you are interested in joining us on this wonderful self care journey. This programme is all about learning to treat yourself with the same loving kindness as you would a friend. When a friend is suffering, most of us are good at comforting them and offering support. But do you treat yourself the same way?

It’s important to take care of yourself, to work through the difficult emotions that you may be experiencing as a result of your loved one’s alcohol or substance misuse.

You’ll learn how to use self care tools that can support you and along the way, how to self-regulate your emotions and you will begin to create a new wonderful relationship with yourself. When you are affected by a loved one’s substance misuse, its crucial to take care of yourself. Learning self-compassion will make it easier.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the Blossome self-care Community. Connect with others who are in the same boat, and participate in new self-care activities, experiences that maybe you would not try on your own. Explore and find some enjoyment.

What to do next…

Please complete a short health history questionnaire. It will take you about 5 minutes, so please do this now so you can process your application. Once you complete the questionnaire, Maya our Self-compassion teacher will be in touch to discuss your application.  You can also talk through with Maya what it means to take part, and she can answer any questions that you may have about the 6-week programme, so you can feel reassured about taking part.
