Mindful Self-compassion

Breathwork and Somatic Experiencing are beautifully subtle, yet powerful tools that we have an innate ability to tap into at any moment. These modalities are simple, needing nothing more than your presence. I hope in time it will become as natural as breath itself to unconsciously tap into these practices by listening to what your body is signally you to reach towards.

Our breath bridges our life to consciousness, it unites our body to our thoughts.  Whenever our minds become overwhelmed, our thoughts seem scattered, we may feel lost or trapped in a spiralling sense of sorrow or grief. The truth is that we all have the capability to use our breath and to come back to ourselves again. I was not ever taught the power of breathwork growing up, but I cherish the simple practices I have learned, turning to breath in times of need has been truly self-empowering.

Sound healing dances alongside the openness created in breathwork effortlessly and this is where the embers of my passions ignite. Every experienced emotion vibrates at a different frequency and we have an opportunity to transform momentary memories or experienced emotions such as sadness, anger or grief into witnessed experiences within the body,  rather than becoming consumed or embodying the emotion as if it is us as  our entirety, sound has the ability to resonate, transfer and transform emotions trapped with our bodies alongside our willingness to surrender into growing.

Our Breathwork, Somatic and Sound healing experiencing will be followed by a short time to journal or express what has risen in the session to complete the circuit. I am honoured to be offering a space for you to experience, to learn and to emerge in a trauma sensitive and safe way together but on your own path.

Participants in the Blossome Summer Self-care for Grieving Hearts programme will have the opportunity to participate in this session and together share a wonderful experience.

Important Notice:

This is not a formal therapy group, but the hope is that it may have a therapeutic value. The session is tailored to be calming. Blossome is not a crisis intervention service. We signpost to other services. Information will be provided at the session to ensure all participants feel supported.

Facilitator

Meet Amy Noelle.  Amy is a Mindful Self Compassion coach, with certifications in  a wide range of practices, a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Physical Therapy.  “I believe mindful awareness and self-compassion are superpowers that allow us to reconnect to our inner resources, unlock our innate wisdom, and achieve our fullest potential. No matter what life looks like on the outside, rest assured, you are not alone in your suffering. While we may not be able to control all the circumstances that cause us pain, we can certainly impact our level of suffering from that pain, and I am committed to helping you do it.”

Q & A

Dress comfortably.  Ideally wear loose, layered clothing as breathwork can increase the body’s temperature, where as the stillness during sound healing may make you feel slightly cooler in moments, therefor layers are a good choice of attire. Comfy socks and bed pillow would increase your comfort too but all other props will be awaiting your arrival as will I!

The breathwork session takes place at the beautiful new Stanway Lakelands Community centre in Colchester, Essex CO3 8WD

No, if tickets are available, you can enjoy this session even if you are not enrolled in the Summer Self-care for Grieving Hearts programme. However, you will experience more benefits if you take part in the 12-week programme, building relationships with the group, enabling you to feel part of the community and connected with others.

The 90 minute session will be comprised of guided breathwork, learning to inter grate somatic practices and will concluded with a sound healing session. No previous experience is necessary. Pathways to healing are varied and some you may have traveled along many times before whilst others seems less well trodden, i would ask that you just have a willingness to experience newness without expectation and know that the light of many shine upon the paths that we walk upon as one.  After the session, we will enjoy some refreshments together.

The session is suited to anyone who has been bereaved or affected by someone else’s alcoholism or addiction. It will enable you  to explore emotions that come up in a safe supportive environment.

After the breathwork session, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the experience and share with other participants as we sit and enjoy refreshments together. ❤️
