Feel alive with a sunrise Dip

Awaken your whole body, mind, and soul with a sunrise swim in the sea at Walton On-the-Naze, Essex. Join us for an early morning sunrise dip followed by hot drinks and a spectacular pancake & maple syrup breakfast at The Red Beach Hut. This is an experience for the memory books and an amazing way to celebrate the completion of the Summer Self-care for Grieving Hearts programme.

Cold water swimming offers so many mood-boosting benefits. It’s amazing for your mental health. We can get so caught up in the busyness of our lives or caught up in the blows that life has dealt us that we forget to take care of ourselves. These swims will help you take time for yourself. No matter what is happening in your life, use this time for you.

You may be pleasantly surprised about what you find inside yourself, and your ability to feel happy at any moment.

Participants in the Blossome Summer Self-care for Grieving Hearts programme will have the opportunity to participate in this session and together share a wonderful experience.

Important Notice:

This session is not therapy. Blossome is not a crisis intervention service. We signpost to other services. Information will be provided at the session to ensure all participants feel supported.

Session Leader

Kim Moore will be your session leader. Kim has been cold water dipping since December 2020! She leads sunrise dip sessions every month, helping new dippers try the experience for the first time.

The cold water dip takes place Walton on the Naze at the Red Beach Hut, hut d8 Southcliff.

No, if tickets are available, you can enjoy this session even if you are not enrolled in the Summer Self-care for Grieving Hearts programme. However, you will experience more benefits if you take part in the 12-week programme, building relationships with the group, enabling you to feel part of the community and connected with others.

We will enjoy a cold water dip in the sea just by the beach hut. We only stay in for a maximum of 2- 30 minutes, depending on the water temperature and everyone’s comfort on the day. You can just dip your toes in or watch. There’s no pressure to go in. Just being there is fun and helps you feel alive just taking in the sunrise.

The session is suited to anyone who has been bereaved or affected by someone else’s alcoholism or addiction. It will enable you  to explore cold water therapy and a wonderful mindfulness practice.

After the cold water dip, we will retreat to the beach hut for a wonderful cooked breakfast with pancakes, maple syrup and fresh fruit. We will take time together to reflect on the 12 weeks together, celebrating one another’s self-care wins.
