Walk 10: Finding Inspiration
Join us to explore a different kind of beach, as we venture along the quieter sections of the Suffolk coast. At Shingle Street, there are just a few houses between the stony shore and the marshlands, open to nature and surrounded by big open skies. We’ll be looking for the shell line – a piece of art signifying hope and connection in the face of adversity – and taking time to create our own art and meaning, looking for inspiration in what we find along the way.
Route: Along the sea wall from Bawdsey, then either along the beach to Shingle Street, returning through the paths along the marshes.
Footwear and clothing recommendation
Something light and comfortable with good support, routes should be dry, but the beach can be tricky to walk on as the stones will move as you walk.
